Hello Guitar Loving World
Hello everyone and welcome to my guitar journal. My sole purpose in starting this site is to document my progress from total novice to guitar god (guitar hero was taken.) My current skill level, patently obvious to all who have a modicum of musical appreciation and as you will see and hear from the video you may be unfortunate enough to click on shortly, is very low.
I love my guitar, but my guitar doesn’t quite love me yet, or even know I exist.
I do know some basic chords;
G Cadd9 C D E Em Am Dm F (which still needs a bit of work)
I also know some nifty basic strum patterns;

Most of my posts will take this format which I, most genourously, like to call stream of consciousness but most might call random nonsense. Isn’t the Internet great! Hopefully it will one day coalesce to form a decent example of someone succesfully learning to play the guitar, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.

I tried to learn the guitar once - but I got sick of having to cut my fingernails all the time! Occupational hazrad - being a girl…lol. But you know what? I learnt something new from watching your vids - I never knew about the 2nd strum pattern. (I never quite got that far - I was a beginner beginner…lol) It makes things sound so much better. Now my guitar sitting in the corner, collecting dust, is looking to get played in a couple of minutes!

Yeah, the whole cutting fingernails thing would annoy me. Luckily I’m a boy with bad habits who always bites his fingernails. I’m glad, and frankly amazed that you picked up something from my vids
I hope you keep the dust off your guitar in future
