Songs To Learn Guitar By

Here are some easy songs to start learning along with links to tabs. I’ve made an effort to source the most accurate Tab out there, but of course you may do better. If you are just beginning find the rhythm or chord sections of the tabs and start with them.

    Excellent song choices for a beginner to start with on guitar. I’m always looking for popular songs that are ‘easy level’ to use as examples for enthusiastic new guitar students. I think it’s better to start lessons with something they’ll know and can have fun learning rather than the traditional repetitive chords and scales treatment that turns lots of new students away.

    You can always go back and learn the fundamentals once you’ve found playing to be fun, but if you start with the impression that it will be too hard then you’re more likely to give up and never go back to it. So, thanks for pointing these out.

    I agree with the choice of songs and with Buddy’s comment that finding enjoyment in playing the guitar should come first.
